If your Xbox 360 console doesn’t turn on then first try solving the problem by following this simple troubleshooting guide.

If you have an original Xbox 360 follow these steps:

1. Press the eject button. If the power comes on then jump to step 3
2. Check the light on the power supply
- if the LIGHT is OUT, ORANGE, GREEN, RED or FLASHING ORANGE check your power cables and also make sure your outlet has power by plugging in a different device to test like a lamp. Don’t use surge protectors or extension cords – plug directly into a wall socket. If the outlet is good and power cable connections are tight and still no light or orange, your power supply may be damaged. Try and get another power supply from a friend and if it works then you know you need to replace your power supply.
